About 12 years ago while I was doing my usual 2 hour workout routine, I was on a bike reading a fitness magazine. Still not knowing what I wanted to do with my life I knew I would figure it out someday. Well one day it finally happened. When reading my fitness magazine there was an ad about personal training courses and I almost fell off the bike! Of course! I needed to be a trainer and help people! I drove to the college and signed up for the Fitness and Health Promotion program. Two years later I graduated with honours and soon after I became a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and so my journey began…

How did I end up here?!

 

I started at GoodLife as all newbie trainers do and considered it a stepping stone. I managed a Curves for Women in Belleville and ended up in the big city of Toronto. I easily landed many jobs in the Corporate Fitness industry throughout the 12 years of being in the big city. I worked hard of course, but I guess when you have passion for something it all comes together effortlessly. I was lucky enough to manage fitness centres for employees at IBM, Husky Injection Molding Systems, Proctor & Gamble and Rogers. I am always curious about how many people I have met and trained over the years but I know I motivated and encouraged many. With everything I have done, people I have trained and the interesting stories I could tell, it has been quite the adventure I must say!

Ottawa here I come!

 

I ran my first half marathon here in the Ottawa! While running around the canal and wondering why the heck I was doing this,  I had a feeling come over me that I was going to move here someday. I wasn’t sure when or how but I just knew it. One sunny August morning in Toronto I woke up and said to myself” I’m moving to Ottawa!” My friends thought I was kidding and my parents were happy to see me so excited about a new change in my life! So I quit the company I had been with for over 8 years, packed up and moved. I decided it would also be a good opportunity to try something new, job wise that is. I had some pretty interesting jobs  but after trying a few things outside my comfort zone, I shook my head and thought to myself, “Erin what are you doing? Your passion is fitness so get  back to it!” 

 

Last of all what you need to know about me…

 

I have a personal training assistant named Willow. She is white and fluffy with 4 legs. She is an excellent observer too! 

 

I have the most amazing and supportive family and friends and they have helped me along the way. I can't say enough about them!  

 

Last of all, I’m most happy when I see my clients reach their goals. Warm fuzzies and proud moments are what my goals in life are. So I need you to be committed so I can reach MY goal too! I look forward to working with you and starting on your journey to a happy and healthy life!
